- Build number: ESD56

1/2/2010 - Purchased two new Motorola Droid A855 series phones from a Verizon Wireless Store. The phone sales person setup the system and created gmail accounts and installed several apps, including, Pandora, Advance Task Killer, Weather.
1/3/2010 - Complete charge on both phones, connected phones to computer and downloaded MP4's onto both phones via USB connectivity via the Desktop PC. Both phones downloaded the 2.5GB of data to the SD card without any issues.
1/13/2010 - One of the phones while we where using it, never held a charge for more than 3 hours without going dead. There were several dropped calls, poor phone conversations, and random dialing of people. Returned to Verizon Store for replaced. Replaced phone and battery, but kept the same SD card.
1/15/2010 - Phone battery life now equaled the other droid phone, however, dropped calls where happening to both phones. Replacement phone then had mysterious contacts appear in the contacts as well as on Gmail. Edited the contacts in Gmail and had that sync back to the phone.
1/16/2010 - Other phone SD card was stuck at "Preparing SD Card" after disconnecting from Windows 7, using the proper Unmount feature. Pulled out SD card and placed in SD Reader and copied data off of card from Windows 7. Attempted to reformat via Windows 7, failed. Placed card back in phone and using the phone reformated the card. Used the USB mount and returned all 2.5GB of data back onto card. The replacement phone text messages started displaying a different person from the contact list then who sent the message.
1/18/2010 - Both phones now randomly dials contacts, happened at 9:04am while the Droid was sitting in a cup holder in the car. Nothing was touching the screen. Heard a "hello, Hello". This contact had no speed dials, nor was this contact ever called.
1/18/2010 - Returned both phones to Verizon to demostrate the problems. Tech informed us that the Advance Task Killer is what is causing the phone quality issues. The original SD Cards where then replaced with new ones. Data was already copied off from the cards at my home Windows 7 computer. Performed hard resets, and restored from factory settings without any additional apps installed. One phone worked, the other the App, Advance Task Killer kept getting reinstalled. Tech told us to make a new gmail account and perform factory reset from there. Took phone home and created new Gmail account and setup the phone to that account, Advance task killer did not install that time. Attempted to copy data back onto card from Windows 7 Desktop PC and returned with new error messages. Visit store, using Mac and Windows XP, problems did not occur when pushing data back onto cards. Returned home, and could not copy data back onto cards via a Windows 7 Desktop PC.

Issue faced with Microsoft Windows 7 and SanDisk Mobile Ultra 16GB MicroSD:
When trying to copy data/files to the SD card, the Desktop PC with Windows 7 will suddenly lose the connection to the SD card either thru the USB connectivity or via a SD Card Reader with Adapter. I was attempting to copy 2.5GB of data.
After this situation occurs, you must reboot the Microsoft Windows 7 PC in order to reset the computer back to a working situation and the SD card has the files that were copied up to the point of the error.
Confirmed Resolution:
Copy the data back onto the SD card either thru the USB connection or with a SD adapter with a computer running Windows XP or with an Apple iMac. Both of these two solutions worked. I do not have any solution to solve the problem with Windows 7. I will be testing with a Windows Vista system next and outline the results.
